"On Sunday, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank concluded its three-day Pittsburgh Blues Festival at Hartwood Acres. With a variety of acts that paid tribute to the music of the '50s and '60s, the festival completed its 19th year. The festival showcased many different blues subgenres, including soul, rockabilly, gospel, surf music and swamp blues.
The first act, Shot O'Soul began its set at 2 p.m. before a modest early crowd. After awakening the crowd with its fun, enthusiastic set, the audience was primed for what followed."
"Those experiencing Shot O' Soul for thefirst time will not see "your typical, run-of-the-mill Pittsburgh blues band," assures vocalist Jim Franciscus of Lawrenceville. "Our music is fun, as is our approach to performing. Our band (which includes male and female vocalists) is comprised of seasoned, skilled professional musicians and singers."

Shot O' Soul delivers an action packed blues show with tremendous vocals and great instrumentation. You can feel their enthusiasm as a band. You can definitely feel the music that they play. They stay true to the blues with all that they offer. We are thrilled to have them as card carrying blues members of the Blues Society of Western PA. They are fun and make the evening an enjoyable one.

"We love Shot of Soul in ETNA! They have played for our Concerts in the Park series and are one of our most popular bands! So much so that one of the other local organizations brought them in several times to play at their place as well! Good Music! Good Fun! Good Times!"

Shot O' Soul delivers a thoroughly entertaining and crowd-pleasing show. Their performance during our outdoor Summer Concert Series had our customers out of their seats and dancing! We can't wait to have them back as we kick off our indoor concerts in The Golden Rule Bar & Grill"

What can we say about Shot O' Soul. I mean, it's tough describing how their music makes you feel in just so many words. All we can say is WOW!.
I heard of SO'S from various customers, other musicians and friends - but was always doing something that bar owners do, and never got around
to really checking this band out. My mistake. Finally, after many customer requests and a call from John we made it happen.
And, What did happen - They tore the roof off. Everyone loved their music, their act, and their friendship. Made us proud to have them on our stage.
Shot O' Soul, we will meet again.
